The topic is about spending money on service which is not needed. Most people going to Giants and Jet games are either from NJ, LI, or the city itself. Dutch the biggest employers in CT are the 2 Casinos. There employees are from privliged.

Weekday east bound- #66-0555, #190-0920, #170-1055, #172-1333, #174-1531, #86-1629, #176-1819, #94-2020, #2172-2104, #178-2158. This is not close to hourly service. Some of these trains are reserved and the Acela is also cost prohibitive. The residents of New London County would like to see some of ...

The flag work and C&S are now MNRR crewed west of hudson, Dutch I already know you are aware of that (for the uninformed). As far as getting 3 agencies 2 Unions to agree on anything is a pipe dream. I'm still waiting to see service to New London. We have the 2 largest casinos in the Northern Hem...

Why have any crew changes at all. NJT operates the MNRR service on MNRR equipment west of the Hudson. As far as bar car service on a rowdy train to start with is ill advised. I think the biggest concern would be if the train crapped out. The NJT should have mechanical forces on the train.

I have seen passengers plug in and sit in the seat across from the outlet. The conductors frown upon that. Nothing like a tripping hazard for some suit who has forgotten to power his/her cellphone.

you have to work a minimum of 6 months before changing crafts. after that you may apply to different positions like a yard master or train service. customers service to rtc is quite a leap with no former rules training. good luck

I was also on the 207 train and the engineer said the alerter for the pan up was going off . The crew locked down the pantographs and we went back to the terminal . That took over an hour and we traveled one mile.

It does not matter how many cars you put on 1327. The crew pulls 2 cars off the head end everyday at Larchmot. Where do you think every idiot at Larchmont tries to get on the train. These people all try to get in the head car on a 10 car platform and it takes 5 minutes to leave. It was alot more fun...

In that proposed house bill there is no mention of prior rights on the divisions. No LIRR employee is currently qualified on the Physical Characteristics on MNRR territory and Vice Versa. The roster was just a scare tactic from BLE&T and the UTU officials.

Amtrak crews the Shore Line East from NHV to NLC. So they need a minimum of 9 engineers and 18 trainmen.

You have to first take a test with basic math and English comprehension. Then there is a interview followed by your physical. Amtrak will start you off at a training rate and then when you are finished in class you go to 75% of a trainmens pay. Donzi if you live in Mystic how come you do not apply t...

If you want to get the ridership up on the Waterbury how about running trains every hour instead of up to 4 hours between trains. Also with any equipment shortage the Waterbury will be the first line to get buses. I am suprised the article did not mention any future freigt service to get P&W and...
