Alright, so my guess was way off, lol. An HHP at the front is pretty cool though, I'd like to see that.

Two genesis in E-mode would not have been able to move circus train.
First a Genesis has no freight brake that can be run at 90 lbs
second at every gap you would loose 3000hp in one shot probably breaking knuckles.
Third the third rail would not take kindly to 2 x 3000 hp in only two car lenghts .
fourth the P32acdm has no bail off function and applying even a bit of brake would knock out power, making it hard to run into and out of a deep cut tunnel without tremendous slack action, something not desired in a circus train.

I caught the train coming through Garden City a couple of hours ago; lots of photos were taken:

With the exception of the first few (of the track car), all those photos were taken by my girlfriend (after I forced the digital camera into her hands). I was shooting slide film with a different camera, which is how I appear (sorta) in one of the photos.

Nice pictures, Phil (I mean Phil's girlfriend :-) ). Did you happen to count how many cars in total?

Here's one I managed to get earlier today near Harold

Nice shots at Garden City pgengler!

Here's the one I caught at Forest Hills. I got there at 11:30am and waited for a boring hour before this train finally shows up. 163 seems to have a lot of sanding before it manages to arrive Forest Hills.

Real nice photo of them coming through Forest Hills. From your user name I'll bet you'd rather be at the airport taking photos instead of waiting for one train to finally show up.

Not as much chaos as I expected this year to my disappointment.

Although I did hear that this move required 4 road foremen.

Hey Guys,

Nice shot N221UA! Cought the train at Floral Park with some friends. The pics didn't come out that great... Hopefully for the return trip there will be better light.

The train paused at Bellerose, then passed through Floral Park by 1:25pm and was on its way!
