Hi TG. The Charlie Card can be an internet accessable account or possibly just a printed statement account, as is your FastLane. They have either option available to them (the T.,) and the decision hasn't been made, or at least made public. A copy of your Charlie Account will reflect your monthly pa...

You implied that you didn't want any "crap" from employees. 2 bikes per car with one at each end, exception for parents with young kids. A bunch of bikes on one car will get the attention of an employee, who may call a T cop, who may tell you that if you're on the system again that night, ...

No one should hassle you. No bikes between 7a - 10a and 4p - 7p on weekdays. No more than 2 bikes per car. If the train is crowded, wait for the next one. No bikes anytime at Park and Government Center. Downtown Crossing can only be used to change lines, can't go to the street. Most holidays are no ...

If you insert your "permit" into an FVM (machine where you buy tickets), it will send you to a student screen. There you can "add value" with a minimum of .60. You are also right in that your "permit" won't work after 8pm regardless of the amount you have stored on the ...

On the RT, they're triggered by the blocks, which also trigger the signals or cab signals. These feed to OCC where the announcements are initiated.

Actually CR uses T inspectors for platform incidents in stations that have subway/commuter rail connections. If someone falls at Forest Hills CR platform, it's often the Orange Line Chief Inspector who is the first responder. Orange Line Inspectors occasionally will have to go on the ROW on the Sout...

There is a (married) pair running around the test track in N.Y. I believe they're going to be rebuilt because of a change in either design or manufacturing so they would be just like the rest of the new fleet. Rumor has it, they operate very nice...... better than the 1800's!

The real deal is no one is in any kind of a hurry. Siemens doesn't have a whole lotta extra money to push this through, the T doesn't have the money, the stations aren't done for 6 cars, the leasing deal on the current cars requires keeping a certain amount of them and operating them even if we get ...

Likely at the headhouse where it always floods. The T snaked the drain to City of Boston property and found no blockage. The City of Boston doesn't want to accept responsibility.

Nobody's doing too much about it because of the plan to close.

The Charlie Card will have an option for auto loading as is done in Chicago. Car drivers here in MA are already familiar with this process with Fast Lane accounts for toll roads, bridges and tunnels. I'd guess for non-auto filling of a Charlie Card online, there will be a 24 hr. (or some other time ...

Does anyone know anything about the elevator fire at the old Atlantic (now Aquarium) station? I've always heard it was very bad, but never read any first hand news reports.
