Status of the **Work Engine** fleet

Since the last topic with the work engines was locked, let's keep this one on topic this time . GP35R's 104, 105, and 106 were all sitting in Stamford yard today. The 105 is the Stamford switcher/protect engine, while the 104 and 106 are deadheading out for Harmon this evening sometime.

The 101 was the PMMO tonight. (3/6)

How about the present status of 543 and 750?

GP35r's 101 > 106 - GP8 #543 and GP9 #750 and BL070 #404 - 405 and BL14cg #401- 402 are work engines on Metro North

The 543 was tooling around on a worktrain today, hear them on Radio around Dock yard in Norwalk.

The 101 in Harmon yesterday(3/9).

This is just a photo. Dunno what the status of anything is. So I'm not sure why my photo is in this thread.

Yeah I kinda like the old GP35s too. Some of them are actually old Reading engines. (I'm sure the Reading crews never visualized these engines working inside GCT.)

Is that location near Marble Hill?

Yes, just north of the Marble Hill station.

saw the AMMO protect crew with GP35R 104 and a flat car heading for Stamford this morning.

GP9 #750 replaced the 129 as the Stamford switcher/protect engine. 129 left for Harmon...due for an inspection.

GP9 750 left Stamford for Croton-Harmon over the weekend, and GP8 543, and GP35R 105 briefly stopped at Stamford from New Haven but they both deadheaded together towards the city yesterday.
