ladies and gentlemen...here's the first few pictures taken of the unit in transit this morning in Croton West Yard. Notice the lettering and New Haven heralds are all reflective. A very cool unit to finally see in person :-D . Can't wait to hear it run and see how well they perform. Get your F-unit and geep pictures before it's too late!

Oooooo, shiny. Until CSX moves the outlawed freight that is blocking both ends of the yard, MN wont be able to take delivery of this engine...

What service will these units perform? And they DO look great !!

The later only if someone can find the bathroom on these things.
No Bathroom no worktrain/freight service as per FRA requirements.
I was told by reliable sources no Bathroom is installed.

For passenger use the car bathroom is the governing facility

And since MNCR has no frequent bathroom facilities the exeption is NOT met for work/freight service.

Interesting... I had assumed they were going to be used on work trains too. So are they going to keep geeps for this duty? Or F-units?

That's a sharp-looking loco; I like it a lot. Thanks for the photos!

Got to ride in the 125 today when we pulled it from the west yard. The first MNR crew to touch it. Had that new car smell up until we stepped into it. Nice seats and AC too.
