why is it "Regal" Montclair?
so, pardon the n00b question, but what exactly is a WORM anyway?
Here is a photo I found of a CNJ train at Elizabeth. The scene is quite different now.And even in that photo, the two outside tracks have been dismantled.
regardless of what we might want as transitfans, let me be the first to say that this project is EXTREMELY overdue.
there are certain roadway/bridge seams that are so uneven that when you go over them you feel like someone just slammed a hammer into your wheels.
also consider this – most people will probably pay just about anything to take an airplane. when faced with paying for a train, people will balk at most fares, even though they are fairly constant.
hey could this be made sticky? since it's like, one of the few projects actually being worked on?
you might interested in njt's project page for the restoration of this service. Notice that this is one of the few projects that survived the may cleanup.
haha i love running into customer care types (anywhere for that matter) that know LESS than i do. like today i was calling up BART , trying to find info about underground cell phone reception. the guy on the other end actually asked me, "so...would that be accounts payable? advertising?" t...

well wasn't there all this funding from the casinos? like, for the diesels from amtrak and for the cars as well? and supposedly this thing is supposed to be running in a year?
it does sound ridiculously pie-in-the-sky, but i thought the money was really there. or not?
so, any more updates on this? the total lack of detail on this project bugs the hell out of me.
If you're going as far out as Metropark, why not just drive into NYC outright? ;) Anyway, Summit parking info is right here and essentially, it's going to be free. Question is, are you going to be able to find any parking there during the Labor Day weekend, which would be my main concern. p.s. you m...
