BAR 502 F3A Status in CPR hands?

Fortunately, when CPR purchased CM&Q, they recovered and chose to preserve the antique BAR F3A Diesel, long stored at Derby shops. Searsport branch has received multiple bundles of new ties placed alongside the roadbed through Hampden and Winterport, heading south to Searsport. While the roadbed is already in very good condition, this tells me that a major track improvement is underway. Currently the trains are largely made up o...

That was a labor of love, Steve. I don't receive this bulletin in "real time", nor do I extensively model the LIRR at this time. That doesn't mean I won't in the future! This archive is a treasure trove of detail information, so thanks!

"Setauket" was sold to private ownership and renamed, repainted, and I understand has fallen on hard times. She was a real observation car and sorely missed.
Anyone know more about her?

I believe it appears on at least one, if not two, images in "Steel Rails to the Sunrise". Actually, going back to "The Sunrise Special" with its keystone logo, I wonder if any of these drumheads were preserved in any manner. They would be treasured items in this modern "subw...

Wonderful and recent Youtube video has been posted of OBRM placing radial tracks around the refurbished TT. Furthermore, the two GE 25T shop locos and the historically critical wooden caboose have been placed on those radials. This represents growth and real progress! Well done, OBRM volunteers! htt...

Great articles and photos from the placement of 39, disguised as 38! Bill Thompson was a colleague of my father, but in fact it was my father, Harry A. Glueck, who placed the G5s at Stony Brook. Bill was well liked by just about everyone who knew him. He suffered a massive heart attack early in the ...

Does anybody have photos of either of these GP7's waiting at Communipaw after retrieval from Newark Bay, and prior to shipment back to EMD for total rebuild? I have seen one of 1532 suspended by a Merritt Chapman crane , just out of the water, and another color slide of the two locomotives sitting s...

I found a photo of one of the Geep 7's being raised from the water, but very few images exist of the recovered engines
after retrieval.
