It's very interesting Clem. Though LIRR is owned by the state and the state has the right to eminent domain for public good, does the LIRR owned by the state still have the right as was under it’s original charter? For example, If LIRR wanted to proceed and say re build to wading river, would they be aloud to secure their ROW Back via eminent domain as under their charter or via the state? Is this how they are doing Roslyn road elimination? In the case of Roslyn road, will the land not used by the RR when the project is complete be sold to the private sector or will it be RR propriety for ever?

Some time’s out “off topic” rants are good one’s and just don’t warrant their own thread if we can squeeze them in to another one some how some way.

That makes sense. I guess it's the media that spoils it all. They spread the gossip and nonsense. It's too bad the media isn't comdemned as much as other companies and groups.
