I recall reading about one that landed in private hands in (IIRC)...Ohio...maybe? Some guy thought he was going to be able to convert it into a giant bus.

We all have dreams but he dreamed bigger than most, I suppose. I'll do some googling and see if I can find where it is these days.

Trying to find something about that on google. According to this, a scapping company in Cohoes NY bought the whole lot and cut them up.

I went and looked at the NH Kelman scrap yard by way of Google Maps. Those cars are not on their property, unless they are beams and sheets of steel.

I suspect you're thinking of a French RTG Turboliner set rotting in Indiana. Some links:

Even those may well be gone. I went and did a google map search of Sullivan, Dugger, and Ellis IN. There's nothing in what few scrap yards there are that even looks like a railcar. In addition, there are a couple places which look like thy might once have been scrap yards, but seem to be in environmental remediation.

I'll be in Indiana next month, but not that part of Indiana...

I just went Google hunting and found it. Street view taken Sept 2015 shows it still there:

Back to OP's question, possibly this book by Wayner would have your info:

Abebooks appears to list several used copies; not too expensive:

Maybe someone on the forum has this book and can confirm if it includes turboliner dimensions?

There appears to be another car hidden in the trees to the right. It's easily seen in the 2008 Street View image and once you know where it is, you can see it in the 2015 photo too.

This ad gives an overall train length of 425 feet, though for a 5 car consist that works out to the standard 85 ft per car. Given that I suspect the power cars are of a slightly different length, I wonder if that was just someone's approximation.

I had found the entire thing as a pdf a while back and sadly I could not locate any drawings. Not sure if there were some excluded when the person scanned it though.

Wonder if there are any 70s-80s loco books floating around out there...

Since the Rohrs were based off the ANF turbo design, you might have some luck a SCNF historical site that might
have that set of plans.
Wait till the "Tour de France" bike race is over!

Anyone know if this control stand was for a RTL II or III?

Not sure if anyone knows, but what the chances are for getting technical drawings straight from Amtrak?

Also I got an Operator manual, so thats all good. Big thanks to ApproachMedium!

The picture you have there is inside of a mock up cab i think for the rebuilt acela looking ones. The manual I gave you would have had a desk like this i think.

Also here is more random turbo pics.

I think Approach is right mncr25; I'm pretty sure that's the mock-up that lives at the NY State Fair Grounds in Syracuse, but I'm not sure. I've only been up there a couple times for the Farm Show when it's colder than hell and the snow banks rise up to the GG1's door, haha.
