RPM depends on LIRR interference due to late trains, track work etc.Also broken engines that can't reach MAS and customer problems. You might try the NYA Forum maybe one of their employees could clue you in.

I was just curious. It seems like most freight railroads push their train service crews to the maximum 12hours.
