I know it will be a tough task, but over the next few week is it possible if you could try and find out what exactly went wrong with the 4117 and 4118.

It was on the NJCL in July 2006 and the RVL in July 2007.Yeah, I have always seen pictures of the 4117 running on the Hoboken side even as far back as the early 1980's(w/Comet I still in EL/NJDOT logos!!)
On the other hand, 4118 was almost always on the Newark side.
