Telegraph Poles Removed

All the telegraph poles along the Main Line in Lyndhurst have been removed this week. I saw NJT crews on the tracks between Kingsland Station & Tunnel cutting the wires and taking the poles down.

One less railroad relic along the tracks of the DL&W...

Some people forget that this was part of the once mighty DL&W mainline across NJ.

Actually, some are still in place, but the wires have been removed. All poles though from Upper Hack to Kingsland Station are gone...

Really its part of the original Boonton Line (freight main). The DL&W passanger main was the M&E.
