Dont read this the wrong way.. But I hope they never saw it coming, their death was surely instantaneous, but I mean never saw the train before it hit them and that they died none the wiser to the oncoming train. If I were a MOW worker on an active track with no knowledge of it being active, I would...
A return of Chicago- Florida service could be possible with thru cars off the CONO put on the "Gulf Coaster"(aka Sunset East) to Florida destinations, any reroute with CN and CSX as Host RR's for a more direct route might become a lost cause under current conditions. An extension of the Ci...
A similar incident happened last summer on my MARC train #875. A CSX MoW crew drove one of their dump trucks right in front of our train. It was one hell of a bang. The same thing happened where the truck was spun around, hit the side of the first car, and blew the windows in. They were working on ...
Im with Jeff on this one. Lets drop it. Youre only making it worse for yourself waiting for the final decision on them and bringing it up constantly. Lets move onto more positive topics.
Anybody know if 668 has actually shipped?
As much as I have my own thoughts and curiousities regarding 601 and 627, I think it is prudent to just wait and see, no point in keeping it going when the real answer as to their fate is still many months off.
Engineer has been released from hospital. These ACS64s no doubt have proven themselves to be very safe locomotives.
Engineer suffered a broken arm and some head injuries. Lucky considering the severe damage to the 627.

I guess we'll find out soon enough.
so what your saying is that every dead engine (diesel or electric) that it is dead in tow needs an driver onboard ? Umm....where did you see me say that? https://33.media.tumblr.com/fb7db0b89bd6a07f3a521285ec07e9ed/tumblr_mkzqgvPRAs1s67vyfo1_250.gif I said nothing of the sort. Certain engines of ce...
Well, trespasser strike by BWI right in the thick of the morning Amtrak wave has backed up the works accordingly. The Vermonter for example is only just making NYP now, with the delayed 184 and the Crescent right on its tail.

Could just be some shuffling around the shop. Who knows. Next.
668 should be on the move either today or tomorrow.
Anyone, are they all, i.e. 600-670 - ex-666, on the property at this time? Movement reports around here have dried up as of late. I think if I had a report that 670 was en-route, I'd make it down to trackside. No. The last three the shipments are spread out for some reason, 668 will be on the move ...
