There are piles of ties in various place between Hazen and Groveton but no activity at all since they redid the crossing at Page Hill Rd in Lancaster.

August 10th thru the 12th the NHCR ,Town Of Lancaster, Maine Track works replaced the crossing on Page Hill Road. It was long overdue for it

Maine Track Works is working south of Groveton. They have been working south of the first crossing on US 3 and last week Pike and the NHCR resurfaced the 2nd crossing on US 3. Maine Track works has been working south of Groveton Between the 2 crossings on US 3 for the last 2 weeks . They appear to be upgrading the rail with the rail stored at A&B logging in Lancaster. This was project that started last fall but was cut short when snow came early.

Most of the track work appears to be between the first and second crossing of US Rte 3 south of Groveton near as I can tell. The track that was stockpiled at A & B Constructions yard is gone.

Maine Track Works has been working South of Groveton switching rail out to 115LB rail for the last week or so . There MOW equipment is parked by the police station on the NHCR track . They have been working south of the US3 crossing coming out of Groveton.

At 720AM NHCR pick up came south thru Lancaster headed towards Hazen. At 1147AM Conway Scenic 1751 came north with one covered hopper headed towards Groveton. Love the horn on that engine. At around 1400 1751 came south deadheading back to Hazen and, it will be returning to the Conway Scenic on 11/7.

On Tuesday at 940AM Conway Scenic 1751 came north thru Lancaster pushing one covered hopper towards Groveton. They returned south at Noon with one covered hopper.

On Monday personnel from the NHCR were at the crossing by A & B Logging on Rte. 3 in Lancaster sorting thru the 115LBS rail that has been stockpiled since last year. looks like they might be getting ready to do some track work.

Boise Cascade has been using the old yard for storage since they moved to Greenland and will continue to unload and store material there in addition to shuttling stuff to Greenland to be distributed to their customers.
