From Hazen's to the diamond, most of the MEC side is clear, accept maybe the last half mile or mile before the diamond. The track becomes heavily over grown with 10+/- year old tree saplings growing in or near the gauge on either side of the diamond. Even with a brush cut, I really don't think the MEC side would be able to handle the weight of that transformer without track rehab. Maybe the B&M side could but there's no room to off load near the diamond, so the only other spot would be the MEC railyard where the depot and yard office use to be. Again, that would require track clearing and rehab, either from Hazen to the rail yard or the interchange track at the diamond to the rail yard, for a switch back move.
