Look for more Irving /csx traffic moving off of cmq and onto par in the not so distant future, notably lumber. Rumor has it cmq rates too high and arrogant service issues around farnham. Have heard Vtr may be forced to cut back conn river line service to cmq account of abysmal vermont service from Cmq. All good news for PAR.

Is POED/EDPO traffic mainly NS/PAS and will it be replaced completely by M427/426 once BE is up and running?

Is POED/EDPO traffic mainly NS/PAS (yes) and will it be replaced completely by M427/426 once BE is up and running (no). It remains to be seen how it will get to Maine, but 426/427 will remain the priority train no stops enroute except Ayer and even that may change.

As of now and the past 6 months or so M426 picks them up either in Ayer, Westford, or North Chelmsford, CSX LA-4 has shuttled cars back and forth in the past. Today B+E AY-4 did shuttling east and west of 312.

Since about last October, the L080 has been filling the void of the EDPO/POED, at least as far as a second major freight job west of Rigby Yard. It seems that may have changed within the last week as the L080 is listed as operating between Lawrence and Ayer now. Not sure if that means a different train will run in its place or if everything has gone back to solely the 426/427 for now.
