And this was all started by a simple side swipe, and now we had one in CT. This is too ridiculous.

Again... I definitely saw damage to the sides of several comets a while back. They were on a revenue consist parked on a platform track at Hoboken terminal. Not sure if I have photos of this or not, but I didn't imagine it. They were comet 2-4 no stainless steel. My guess is that they were moved past something that was fouling the loading gauge. Perhaps something parked too close to a switch?

Somewhere in this thread is the "NTSB" type report lirr42 "found" and posted.
