Why is that?

The 12 car ML requires an ALP on each end and will probably still be slower than 12 MUs.

12 MU cars also have 12 major points of failure vs one or two. Also 12 vehicles fit in more places than 14. The 12 car two alp mothership is a mother to move around. It pretty much wont fit on tracks 1-4 in penn station if I remember correctly.

That is the worst image. Why the hell is it all crooked.

It is also inaccurate. Hey AM, look how the author of this map decided you can squeeze 17 cars into 9 track! Somehow, 9 track became as long as 11 and 12 track! :-D

yea that and did you notice the interlocking boundrys for A, JO, KN and C are all wrong?

Oh wait they dont even have KN on there! I can see a whole lot of other things wrong

Mr. ThirdRail and Mr. Medium,

I am not the original creator of the maps, but perhaps you could point out some of the things that are incorrect and I can try and fix them. I tried playing with the interlocking boundaries a little bit and got this as a "first step": http://i.imgur.com/KftjrC5.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Some new cars were spotted on Rockville this morning. Looked to be 7761, 7701, and 7766. Could be wrong about those, though.

The interlocking boundaries are actually "back to back" in many places where the same signal location on one side is A and one side is JO if i remember correctly. Ill see if i cam come back with some better information this week when I talk to one of my friends in the rules dept.

That is correct. On one side of an I-joint on the "middle tracks" are A's home signals, and on the other side are JO's home signals. Interlocking limits vary throughout the station.
"A" home signals "1-199","KN" HS's "200-299", "C" HS's "400-499", JO" HS's "500-599"
I forget the specifics and not being qualified in there.

4 Multi- Levels cars were at Oak Island yard today, I am not sure what were the car numbers.

I just saw about about 7 MARC Multilevels in WAS. I got a few pics, but they're too large to post right now. One good thing about them that I saw was that every seat has power outlets.

Just realized I put this in the wrong forum, however I did get a few pics of them in the MARC Forum.

Does anyone know the passenger capacity of the multilevel 12 car sets used on the Trenton line now?

They stopped doing the 12 car set thing a long time ago.
