MP-15ac's out & about

Doublepost but whom cares: 164 and memory escaping me but either 165 or 161 were the LIC protects today.

2 work trains and a CE move was seen on Friday afternoon 10/6 in Queens Village,

12:51 PM, #168 and #167 were pulling a work train featuring a mix of FTSX tie, hopper and gondola cars headed eastbound to Belmont Park.
1:20 PM, a CE move with #160 was headed eastbound from Morris Park.
1:31 PM #171 and #163 with a work train of hopper cars headed westbound to Fresh Pond.

60 mins later #168 and #167 came back on the Main Line from Belmont Park at 1:51 PM as it was headed westbound.

Didn't get the number, but I saw one towing a double decker westbound through Bayshore today just before 5pm. Man, was that thing flying! Where would it take it to? Babylon yard? Or all the way to Hillside?

Normally all the way to Jamaica/Richmond Hill, but at that hour they'd probably stash him in Babylon until the rush calms down.

There's been an MP15 sitting in HAROLD today and last weekend, presumably as a protect given the limitations resulting from ESA pretesting. 154 was there last week

Heres the latest for MP15ACs in this posting. 167 and 171 were on the sandite train on 10/26. Interesting that the sandite train this year has no fire protection tank car; just the M1/M3 passenger car. Today 10/29, 152 and 157 on the RF1 were in Garden City today at around 1:45PM with a fully loaded welded rail train. They dropped off the welded rail train on the Garden City Secondary and returned west with the rail recovery train with eight gondolas around 2:45PM Thats all for now.

I caught #152 and #157 twice the other day Friday 10/27, at 10:53 AM in the morning as they were heading to Fresh Pond light as seen on Babylon Branch train #44 in Richmond Hill. At just after 3:30 PM in the afternoon I spotted them waiting to head onto the Main Line from Holban Yard with a 12 car Ballast train for Atlantic Pipe, it went by past Queens Village at 3:51 PM. At 1:24 PM on that same afternoon and location #163 and #158 were headed down to Holban with a flat car loaded of 2 Construction Loaders, #153 was the Jamaica protect and #168 was the protect at Harold interlocking. I saw the Welded rail train set sitting at Jamaica as well on Friday.

#168 was the Jamaica Protect
At 11:59 AM #171 and #158 were seen pulling a Fire Tanker car to Holban Yard, at 1:24 PM #171 went up to Garden City. Both of this were seen in Queens Village.


Today 11/18/2017
#160 was sitting in the Harold interlocking area
#171 was the Jamaica Protect
#172 was seen at 11:45 AM in Mineola headed up the Oyster Bay Branch, it was seen again at 3:25 PM this afternoon in New Hyde Park headed back to Morris Park light.
#154 and #161 were seen at 12:50 PM this afternoon running light on RF past New Hyde Park headed eastbound, they came back westbound at 1:46 PM.

At 12:25 PM this past Saturday afternoon 11/25 #161 was towing DE30AC #421 (Online) eastbound as it went by Queens Village on a CE move out of Richmond Hill. I saw those 2 earlier that morning around the Fuel pad area.

I think that CE went out to Port Jefferson. An MP-15ac went westbound through Northport towing a DE/DM around 3:40 or so, hauling ass.

150 and 152 westbound on the central branch at wellwood at 0940 this am with a dozen gondolae

RF1 went past New Hyde Park at 10:17 AM, it was 13 Hopper cars headed down to Fresh Pond, at 2:52 PM this afternoon they went back to Atlantic Pipe with gondola and Hopper cars as seen in Richmond Hill. Meanwhile the Protect at Jamaica was #163.

163 and 167 today @ 11:30 running lite through Farmingdale eastbound on the Central.

154 is hanging out by Jamaica this morning.

Today 12/16
152 was seen in Richmond Hill on the YPD crew with a C3 coach.
And 157 was the Jamaica Protect as of 3:15pm

This past Monday #172 was seen sitting at Richmond Hill, #150 and #152 was seen in Queens Village at 1:27 PM on the Alcohol train headed eastbound on the Main Line.
