I must wonder, Mr. NHV, if there is somewhere a CPKC liveried engine (it's now M-Day + 13mo), and would they assign it to train 121 on which you diligently report its consist.

The only ones I'm aware of are the two Hydrogen units, several other units have been repainted into CP red since the merger.

They'd have to assign it to 120 out of Montreal, since 121 is at the eastern end of the system and the turn point to send power back west.

KCS has still been painting units. CP has been purging units off the KCS side of things, including the BNSF C44's KCS purchased last year from GECX. I believe those ended up on NS. I think KCS still had quite a few SW1500's which have all been sidelined as well. Overall it seems like CP has been transferring the junk they don't want in Canada down to KCS, while transferring the good road power they had up here. I imagine its only a matter of time before KCS geeps start showing up on CP locals, considering how short on 4 axles CP is, and how they love to drag their feet when it comes to fixing the pile of dead geeps that are at almost every diesel shop they own.

Also side note; for those who didn't get to witness the Eclipse in person, was it visible from the rail cam?

Yes, and it was spectacular. I think Fairport and Deshler were the only other cams I saw with such a good view of how dark it got.
