Looking at NJT's ML-BC Line schedules, it appears logical the routing will be via the Main Line.

It should be right on the heels of BC Line train #1201 which arrives Ridgewood at 7:09 am and terminates at Waldwick.
TSTOM ..thanks for the heads up!!!! I will try to get some photos. At that time of am in Waldwick with the sun just rising, anyone want to suggest whether the overpass on Wyckoff Ave. at the S curve or further up just past the Waldwick Station would be better location for photos?

NOTE ROUTING CHANGE !!

Been advised by a reliable source that the the BERGEN COUNTY LINE will be the route out of Hoboken. The E8's will reportedly follow train # 1201/X11 from Ridgewood Jct. to Suffern.

* See additional info in the Juniata Terminal thead....

If anyone is looking for it today, it rolled through Trenton at 12:55 pm - so it's going about 30 mph, I'd say (assuming it left at noon from Philadelphia). Video to be posted later tonight.

Hooray! I'm the first!!!!! Can't believe I beat chuchubob!

Rolled through Princeton Junction at speed at 1:33 pm!

And a short video clip of the E's and 3 cars kicking up some dust en route to the MMC.

Indeed! Thank you TSTOM for the heads up!

Tom, the only thing that would have been better for me was if it were 2 NJDOT E-8's with 12 matching 'Coastline Coaches' ;-)

You da man!
Circumstances precluded my timely posting of my 12:39 photos of the train running through Holmesburg Junction at what appeared to be 90 mph.

Thank you, Bob! That means a great deal to me coming from the master of "being at the right place at the right time......every time"!

And yes, it certainly appeared to be 90 mph, especially coming down the hill into Princeton Junction!

I'm rather proud of my little snapshot and video. That's the first time I've been out buffin' seriously in many, many years. Can't believe I was able to shoot the video and the still at the same time and not screw the whole thing up. I'm really out of practice.

I was also thinking that this was the first time I've videotaped E-8's running since a pair of fake 'Erie' E-8's last departed Hoboken Terminal for Port Jervis. Had to be the early 90's. I was still shooting 8mm video! Wow, I'm getting old!

I saw the train roll through Rutherford shortly about 7:15 this morning. The train looked great. I also saw a few of the old CNJ engines, so it was a win-win. Photos and video to come later. I need some sleep now.

Thanks again TSTOM for the information stating the train would take the Bergen County Line.

Wow, great pics Arrow2!!

I hope you have some idea how lucky you are to have been on that trip! There are im sure going to be LOTS of jealous railfans (including myself!) looking at your pictures!

I passed the train yesterday when it was getting inspected in Hudson Yard and finished up a "shave and a haircut" that someone on the E8 started :) that was fun! hahahah
