Very sorry to hear about your Dad's passing. Do understand that the job is just that -- a job, and not everyone there would be a friend of choice.
I've experienced lots of similar inconsideration at the Long Island. Frankly, if not for the lovely ladies who work as secretarys, nobody would even notice if the employees passed on...
You are blessed with a job doing what you love. Don't lose sight of that blessing at a time like this. Let the slight roll off your back, and thank God for the many wonderful years with both your Dad and with the Company.
