I seen Chicago based f40s run out of NH.
LED headlights/ditch are not all that great. Very narrow straight beam. Kind of like a horse with blinders. See very well dead straight, look a inch to the left or right, complete darkness.
Backshop, I think LIRR is looking to piggyback off the NYA order for their work engine fleet. It was brought there for familiarization puropses. Like all gensets supposedly the pulling power is much left to be desired. Same with the current rebuilds at MNRR of the GP35 fleet by Brookville. Nothing ...

Hi kids! Same ole boring train will be going to Kleet tomorrow morning, going by Queens Village at the same time, hauling the same 4 cars, and returning past Queens Village at the same time. I'm excited

They will do it inhouse, just will take a bit. A lot of wiring burnt. That will take the most time, the rest is just cosmetics.
