Based on my limited understanding of lighting electronics i will say that i think the power requirements for the two lamp types may require some kind of adapter. Incandescent lamps in most applications that i have seen are usually AC, and LED's are DC. For example, street lamps that i've seen switch...

Two words: Yield Management. Another two words: Diversified Marketing. Add two and two, and i think it might at least be a start?

Looks like there is a 3rd track out of frame, based on the switch visible on the extreme right edge of that photo. I know the one is "low" next to today's track 2 or "high", so maybe you could put a platform on the side of the far right track, and have 2 storage tracks between tw...

So i found this image & it got me thinking.... http://kc.pennsyrr.com/photos/images/pc_sta_trenton2.jpg Would it be possible to put those tracks on the right back in, use them for overnight & mid-day storage, and if you only put 1 back in, have space for a platform? I feel this might help SE...

Bottleneck? Originally trains ran from hoboken to both 33d and hudson terminal, and then there was manhattan transfer to hudson terminal. Adding journal square to 33rd to the pattern really screws up the whole efficient 3 route system. There were plans to build to communipaw and add tunnels and trac...

The upstairs track at newark can be good for crowd shots, just stay well on the NJT side of the turnstiles.

I like PECO/turnpike 3. It allows space for KOP mall to expand if they want while still serving the mall properly.

If you're going to have diesel service here, why not to 600 other places in pennsylvania that need it? SEPTA is the poster child of hopelessly inadequate service for the region it serves. Beta test, but where is the equipment coming from? What about other areas with no wires, tell them to go stuff i...

At one point at least the plan was for two new 2 track bridges: No, one was 3 tracks and one was 2. One would be higher than the other and related to ARC/gateway, and the other one would connect directly to the existing tracks at each end. That has all changed, and we'd need a funded gateway projec...

1 inch or less, as it speeds towards you, obviously.

And as a society, the last thing we would want is to facilitate people driving on summer weekends to see family and friends, take in the Shore or hiking trails, or otherwise leave their apartment block towers. I have no idea why seeing hundreds of thousands of people moving about to take part in so...

You are correct that there are clearance issues in the North River tunnels upon further search. It is not the roof, however, it is the grade. The fall at the lowest elevation of the tunnel is steeper than the East River Tunnel grades, and that's where the tapered corners of the MLV's are needed to ...
