Swedish Meatball wrote:T & E are Amtrak crews out of NHV. There overseen by CDOT. What job are you looking for, MGMT. or Road Crews. There is not a seperate roster for the SLE crews.
Swedish Meatball wrote:If you want to be a Conductor then you will have to hire out with Amtrak. With the New Haven crew base shrinking because of the thru trains from BOS-NYP, your chances of holding a SLE job are slim to none for your first few years. When the MNRR M8's come into service you will hear the rumours that the Metro North crews will takeover the service. This topic has been discussed to death on this forum. If I were to choose between the 2 RR's I would apply to MNRR over Amtrak, it's a no brainer unless you forsee moving out of the area soon. Amtrak has a National roster. Is there a general application for Metro North?
