Yup. 708 now showing as prep-to-ship to Alstom for rebuild on NETransit.

207 was a Delaware Car outsource.

How can it be that it's taken 9 whole months to get only 4 of 10 cars back from DC that only needed their 4-year inspections updated??? Mass Coastal got the same job on their 3 assigned cars done within a couple weeks. Some of the K-cars have been out and back from heavy rebuild in less time!

My admittedly uninformed conclusion: vendor is backed up, behind schedule. :(

Wasn't picking BET up from backed up, behind schedule the whole reason for choosing Delaware in the first place???

Backed up at Delaware, though, isn't taking up space in BET.

1074 added to Trk 1 in Kingston, MA....but she is still a good engine, just a spare down there

The five stored units at Kingston layover are being moved today to Middleboro
and should be leaving for MPI via CSX. The 1074 is not among them and will
return to Readville with the 904.

Is 1074 to patched back "together" at BET,or become a parts source at BET?
  by GP40MC1118

As I understand it, the 1074 was brought to Kingston to put air through the stored units to test them.
Apparently the 904 broke down and as of 6PM Thursday night, the move had gotten to Middleboro.
Wonder if they went to Southampton Street or Readville instead?

Been meaning to ask this for awhile.

The mural in Central Square in Lynn shows engine 1139.

Would 1139 be a F40 / Screamer? What is the current status of 1139?

Edit: Net transit shows 1139 as a Geep. The mural definitely does not depict a Geep.

GP40MC's are 1115-1139...

The Kingston/Middleboro move only made it to Braintree Yard after the 904 developed problems.
Engines were left at Braintree Yard.

New extra running tomorrow to Middleboro and return sometime after 8AM.

Yes, but this doesn't look like a Geep

Was trying to figure out whats going on and if any other trains might of had that number at one point or another.

That’s because the number on the model loco shown is inaccurate. The F40’s have never been numbered in the 1100 series, it’s just an oversight by the artist that painted it.
