Somebody tried running in front of Metra here in Chicago and they made a big deal out of it - the crew wouldn't let her on, and I think they called the police. Chicago Trib and TV were sympathetic to Metra - it was very obvious this was stupid, and everybody in the media and railroad made it quite clear that dumb actions are not viable around trains. Sounds like the media in NYC needs a page from Chicago Media's book.
