According to the article, internal and external candidates have both declined the job, including Jack Requa, who was acting GM between Tangherlini and Catoe. Somehow this doesn't surprise me - would you want to be the head of Metro right about now?

If I were working for Metro and I was asked, there is no way I would want to touch that job with a 10 ft. pole right now.
