They made two round trips from Belle Isle to Frontier with the 2nd trip being a disaster;

Anyone know if they will be back for more abuse?

They have been running back and forth between NJ and Binghamton for about a week now on the SU-99 / SU-100.

For a small foreign RR to 'lend' 3 units to a class one just to go 130 miles then return and then sit for 3 1/2 days just idleing after pulling a 13,000 ton train up the ruling grade between Albany and Chicago also considering the age of the units, yes, I would say that was a disaster!
If it was my RR and power that would never happen again.

I would be vary leary about leaseing anything to CSX not know what would or will happen to it. Even with an ALCO/MLW unit.

I dunno which is sadder, this, or the SD70M's...

Which are the next 2 locomotives? 75 and 43?

If these units keep breaking they will have to return them and buy there own.

  by ANDY117

Don't they already own them?

Notice that it is not lettered"NYSW" in any form. mmmmmmm!

Now, Give this unit a solid YELLOW nose with a black body and yellow safety stripes on the long hood end and black safety stripes on the nose; you will have a pretty neat paint job.

Is anyone real good with photo shop?
