The name lettered on the side of the car is KITCHI GAMMI CLUB. Their Virginian drumhead tailsign may have lead you to think that was the car's name.

Now we know what car HI55US saw on the move from Hudson interlocking to Sunnyside Yard earlier this week.
It is the Kitchi Gammi Club, but the unofficial nickname up here is The Virginian because it belongs to the Virginia Rail Investment Corporation. Forgot others wouldn't know that. Sorry. :P

I do. Just wanted to try and make someone somewhere smile. To bad i couldn't do a voice recording. That would have been way funnier :)

Regarding the lite move on Saturday: The 934 & 942 were both non-compliant and were towed from Boston to New Haven, where the electric leader was put on because the diesel can't go through the tunnels in NYP.

The Vermonter usually has a Horizon cafe on it in the winter because the Horizon cars have less door problems in the winter as opposed to the Amfleet equipment.

I believe it was Thursday or Friday, Lake Shore Limited awaiting departure had a regular Horizon coach on it (besides the Dinette.)

Kitchie Gammi Club is at the platform in New York behind the baggage car headed East. Sorry can't be more specific but just caught it out the window as I headed west out of the station at 7:00 pm.
