Preview service on Southeastern Trains Class 395 (built by Hitachi) will begin June 29, between Ashford International and St. Pancras International. The trains will be the fastest trains running domestically.

Today's papers say fares will increase by one third. That's a steep increase. The company (Southeastern trains) says it's for the preview service but I suspect they are testing the market to see if people are actually willing to pay this huge increase - on what is already a high fare. On an annual season ticket it would be a huge increase.
