The track you speak of is a small part of a vast trolley network of Bucks County that closed down around 1925. The line you speak of did parallel the delaware canal; i do not have a full map but I believe it was the Trenton-Easton route. In Yardley, this route connected with another route to Newtown, where it again connected with another route through Langhorne (my town...if you know what you are looking for you can see the cracks in the street that paved over the tracks, which is 2 blocks away from my house), thru Hulmeville into Bristol. At Bristol there were 2 other trolley lines to connect to: a line to Trenton and one into Philadelphia, which is present-day Route 66 "trackless trolley". There were many other trolleys that one could ride throughout Bucks county. One specific trip I remember hearing of was how to get from Langhorne to Willow Grove Park without having to use the Reading Railroad and its much higher fares :P .
