There was an industry served from the Toledo Terminal north of Door on Westwood (not Douglas, but Westwood, a side street here). The tracks are still in place crossing the road but have been removed east of Westwood for UT development.

Anyone know what industry was located here?

Also, construction near the Westwood Ave. crossing of the Chicago line has further uncovered an old piece of trackage that appears to have been the old connector between the TT and the Detroit branch ("3 lead") at 292, just north of the tracks and east of the road.

According to a TTRR map dated 12/28/44 the name of the business was the Hilfinger Co. No indication of what kind of business they were involved with but I doubt it had anything to do with jeans.

After some searching, I found that there was once a company called "Owens Illinois Hilfinger" located at 1800 Westwood Ave. This must be it.

Thanks Rick.
