This legendary piece of LIRR wreck equipment looks to be in fair, if not good condition at the BR&W in New Jersey. In fact, it would look great with afresh coat of black paint and the white circle "LI" logo on its side. Give the cable a coat of oil to prevent further rust and she's probably functional.
Anyway, it's a neat find,considering how long ago it was discarded, and its role in the RR's 20th century history.
