Syosset - Train vs. car

At about 7PM this evening train 666 hit a car at the Jackson Ave. crossing at Syosset Station. Crew member reporting to 204 said driver of the car had been stopped on the tracks in traffic, and bailed out of the car when the gates came down. No injuries. Car knocked clear to the south side of the crossing. Trains 668, 1734, 1736 being held at Hicksville Sta. Now about 8pm, trains starting to move east from Divide on track 1, thru Syosset, crossing back to track 2 at Amott.

Same old story; very lucky there were no casualties, this time.

another well educated driver. their insurance company shouldn't pay the claim... why should we all pay for that fool's car??

So, it should read thus:

I know, I was just trying to do a play on the number.....maybe I shouldn't try to make jokes while on percocet...

Certainly don't be stopping your car at the crossing in Syosset or anywhere else while taking it!
