No it's not April 1st. This actually happened. I think this was the first and last train that they ever ran. Does anyone know if they ever actually ran a single train out of there? Single stack of course.



If I remember right, after touting this new service the State pulled the rug out from under them by moving all containerized cargo to Conley.

Spend a few minutes on GEarth , and you'll see that there's no IM ROW available for direct Conley service. Add in the issues of crossing and sharing the NEC and the additional issue of catenary clearance for domestic DS to get to CSXT.
Things are pretty much maxed out at Conley now. Add in Panamax for the necessary economy of scale -- with all the political and physical upheavals included in that -- and Boston has little option but to remain a local shipping/tourist port.
