There is currently a major fire in the electrical substation at 570 Commerce Street in Thornwood, NY, adjacent to the Harlem Line.
Not sure if this is a ConEd substation or a MNRR substation.
Incident command requested all rail traffic be stopped and power to both tracks be shut off.
Command has requested a lot of mutual aid, including County HazMat and several thousand gallons of firefighting foam concentrate from the county and from Yonkers FD.
