Paul Weyrich, a well-respected conservative author and transit advocate, has an article on streetcars posted on http://www.townhall.com today. Click on the link and search columnists; you'll find him listed.
I expect the article will also be referenced or covered in the next weekly newsletter on http://www.nationalcorridors.org as he is often a contributor there. I expect this will be so as it bashes Bush, as NCI is prone to do, although not quite as one-sided (he points out Carter's antipathy to Amtrak as well, and is balanced vis-a-vis Reagan).
The article discusses numerous in-progress projects and proposals (sigh: nothing on Atlanta).
Just thought you'd all be interested.
