This Saturday, 03/11/2006, Railroad.net's own Otto Vondrak will be presenting a slide show at the Urban Transit Club. For more info on the show or the club, visit http://www.utcny.org. The UTC's March meeting will feature a slide show presentation by Otto M. Vondrak. You may recognize Otto's name from the popular website RAILROAD.NET, of which he is part owner. A native of Westchester County, Otto has been recording the railroad scene for many years now, covering a variety of subjects along the way. The March program will consist of the following...
o PCC rapid transit operations in Boston and Newark, as well as SEPTA PCC streetcar operations.
o Various Northeastern freight railroading subjects ranging from CSX to Guilford to CP Rail....
o A sampling of Western subjects including Dallas DART light rail, Dallas-Fort Worth Trinity Rail Express, Portland's Tri-Met light rail, and more.
o Awesome Alco shortlines and regionals... and maybe a few surprises.
