Interested to see if anyone knows anything about getting hired in the Seattle area (UP, BNSF). Presently 2 years CSX conductor, remote qual. Would like not to have to pay for school again. Appreciate wisdom from someone who knows the SeaTac rr scene.

Thanx.[/img]

Hey, Seattle is in my service unit on UP (Portland hub). Great place to work, yard is easy and everyone is pretty laid back. Whenever they are slow up there we have guys here that get "augmented' (ie: Sent against their will), so there would probably be openings. They run a combined extra board where you'd be either doing RCO work in the yard or getting called on dog catches or a few locals based there, or in Tacoma which is a little south. It's definitely BNSF country up there, more of an outpost for us. If you look on BNSF, the yard is called "Interbay", it doesn't always get posted as Seattle. Good luck!
