Has anyone ridden the NEC this week? Can you see any RTLs on the east/south side of the train?
Yeah, when they board the Maple Leaf at NYP, they split people into two lines - one for people going very far AND people going short distances, and one for everyone going to the middle destinations. That sort of makes sense since they want to board the first two groups from opposite ends. But they i...
Imagine, a married couple sitting together on a train from Philadelphia to DC. Could such a thing be real?
I recently watched a very mediocre horror movie entitled "A Dark Song" on Netflix. It has one piece of notable railroad trivia, however. The movie takes place in Wales, but was partly shot in Ireland. In one scene characters sit in what is clearly Bray Station , with DART trains passing by...
I bet if I watched Naughty By Nature's videos for "O.P.P." and "I Gotta Lotta" I'd find some NJT equipment in or around East Orange, but I don't have time to do it right now.
I'm surprised - I always assumed there was a connection in Yonkers.
On the LSL at this time of year, half or more of the doors are likely to be frozen shut.
Did it travel by rail all the way from Sacramento? That would have been a funny sight to see on a freight train Nebraska.
I've taken 49 out of NYP maybe 10 times in the last 5 years and only seen assigned seating once.
Does the southbound Crescent always have assigned seating out of New York? I saw them boarding today and they must have spent 15 minutes on the platform slowly giving everyone a number. One Amtrak employee watched and loudly blamed it on the decision to sell tickets to people only traveling as far a...
There was no service between Whitehall NY and Rutland VT from 1936 until Amtrak started the Ethan Allen in 1996.
So if they're going from Dover to West End, is that via Morristown or Montclair?
People posting on this thread know the deal. But I feel bad for anyone who just books a train from WAS to NYP that looks as good as any other and then, on the day of travel, finds out it's the one that's four hours late every day.
I can't see any way to sort itineraries by price! There is a "sort and filter" button which takes me to a list of dropdowns. There is a Price dropdown under which the options are "All Day", "Morning", "Afternoon" and "Evening". Those are not prices.
