If the SA93 brings back the empties+the empties in Woodhaven that should make for a pretty long train on the return trip
I'm still not sure when the Second box car was left at Extech before Thursday. It was very close to the main, it seems like Extech would have had a very hard time unloading from where it was placed.
Just drove past Brick Recycling and there was only a Gondola and a tanker car.
On my way home about 20 or so minutes ago I had passed Extech and had noticed that there are 2 box cars on their siding. Could the train have snuck down earlier this week possibly? Or maybe the extra box car was from last week
Was that an Ex LMS unit? If so, is that the last locomotive left in Class 1 service still wearing Conrail Blue?
I am over at my Buddies house off of Aldrich Road and Route 9 South in Howell and heard the Horn cutting through the air about 20 Minutes ago. The train was making it's way through either Lakewood or South Howell. I'd imagine it was headed towards Browns Yard. Nice to still Hear A Leslie RS3L every ...
I've spent the better half of my night finishing up some work before Thanksgiving break with my window cracked and as of 3:20 AM, I haven't heard anything come through Farmingdale. Perhaps we will see the train make a run on Friday? Not sure what job(s) the SA 31 is responsible for on Fridays anymore.
I am not 100% positive about this, but the train May have never left Farmingdale last night. I live relatively close to the tracks and was home all day yesterday . I had heard the train blow a few times Picking up the Boxcar at Extech and then blow their horn at Megill Road. I was able to hear the e...
I was driving past Brown's Yard on Monday night and was stopped at the crossing on Bordentown Ave. By what appeared to be a steel train. Train was lead by the EL SD45. It seemed like a big locomotive for a 5 car train!
Hello everyone, I'd like to head down and check out some action in South Jersey one of these days but I'm really not too sure where to go! Any spots where I'd be guaranteed to catch a move?
Sorry about the false Info guys! Only looked like a single car from where I was looking lat night !
Going to have to look more into this tomorrow morning but I saw something very interesting a few minutes ago on my drive home. There is at least one boxcar (last car on the train on its way to lakewood judging by the placement of the EOTD) Fouling the main line in between Marl road and Squankum Yell...
Another fresh stack of thousands of ties were dropped off at rt. 539 (? I believe that's the road) and crews were working down in Lakehurst today laying more ties.
David, I'm using my phone and its not letting me post Photos. Once I get back on a computer I'll surely post them
Took a drive to the entrance of Clayton's pit today and they have bulldozed the line about a quarter or so of a mile looking towards lakehurst. No stacks of ties down there yet
Just saw a picture on Facebook with the track broom parked on Conrails side of the Crossing in Lakehurst. The Cape May Seashore Lines truck was down there too.
