Was not a knock on ya ken, it was a engineering joke.. and i dont blame ya, "in case of doubt or uncertainty" Gotta admit it was a bit funny. Yes I do remember the high freight car debacle, some thought the viaduct would have to be rebuilt. Remember we picked up the President of the RR at ...

Keyboard apparently put more thought into it then the RR. I mean this as a compliment to keyboard. You would be astounded at some of the things that went on. When the first c-1 bilevels were being tested, I was on the test train that was the first one to go east of Jamaica. When we got to the Montau...

The Railroad asked certain Conductors that had a good work ethic, and had good records, if they would be willing to mentor new employees. If they accepted, the new employee would be assigned to the job the Conductor was on, as an extra person on the train crew. The program did not last very long, co...

none of the ex b&m 7500's were Bar-generator cars. The cars that were did not last very long, a few years at best. The cars could not handle the extra weight of the generator, and the constant rocking of the train made the floors sag, and outer wall of the cars eventually start to bulge out. The...

There are escalators at belmont, though some dont work. This from the MTA web site. Belmont is a special event station and therefore services are limited. The station is not wheelchair accessible, and there are no elevators and only limited escalator service. It is necessary to use a staircase to an...

The LIRR does run the greenport Scoots without a Brakeman or Collectors. Its just an Engineer and Conductor. The railroad also runs Change of Engines, and protect Engines with just an Engineer. This has been going on for at least 25 years or more, its nothing new. The only time the scoot gets a coll...

I have friends who work for the RR, and I have asked them if this is actually going on, they all say no, and say thats why they don't bother to post in here. It's Because of the constant bickering and intentional missinformation. Many have been driven away. Why do you think *name redacted*, and othe...
