This is the only TE-47-4E built. The Sulzer powered engines were SP's TE-70-4S's.
I would bet they have age restrictions on them.

This was a NY Cross Harbor Customer located in Brooklyn Army Terminal Pier 1 (when it was still there..).
They did the PATH Cars, some NYC Subway stuff, and apparently those CTA cars. I know of a photo of 2209 and 2215 down there around 1990.
Coal ended by the late 1960's. After that traffic was an occasional boxcar, and apparently a reefer of frozen Turkeys every year at thanksgiving for all of the Grumman employees. They only were getting 3-4 cars a year between boxcars and hoppers of fertilizer. Service ended in 85'. Today the covered...
All the museums and local FA restoration groups were made very well aware and passed, due to the fact that it was so far gone.

The Oppies from 1504 and 1509 were in the tug Socrates, since sold to Nigeria. Those were the last I know of.
FM's are dead for Railroad and Marine use. Standby generation is the only real use.
