Does anyone know if they are running patrol trains on the lines that are curtailed?
Likely pilot trains, training exercises, or maintenance moves.

I think 3257 is a re-do of a train they had ~8 years ago. It was a big deal, something like local Nesh to Jenkintown, express to CC.

How did y'all get the diesels from West Chester to Lansdale? I assume you couldn't go through CC. They went through the tunnel. Diesels are allowed in as long as they get a straight move through. Really? I wasn't aware of that. That's really interesting, do the fumes just dissipate or...? By doing ...

Going south/east from Suburban would require digging under the MFL/Trolley tunnel. Not saying it's impossible, but look at similar big-dig projects in London or Boston. Digging tunnels under existing cities = $$$$$$

Very unlikely SEPTA will consider the BBD AL45DP, or for that matter any kind of diesel powered service extension. It makes zero sense for them: * The ALP-45DP is roughly 12 million a unit. * You'd have to have service facilities for it. - No reason they couldn't be serviced at Frazier or even Wayn...
