I understand progress, as distinct from simply forming an agency and talking about all the great things to come, is being made in establishing Provo-Salt Lake-Ogden regional rail (commuter) service). Second hand cars have been acquired (x-C&NW bi-levels) and a maintenance facility is under construction.
I think the area would greatly benefit from such. When I was stationed at Hill AFB during 1968-69, it was a "non-issue", but based upon my most recent visit during 2000, there was "bumper to bumper' traffic even during midday on I-15.
