I went to Brunswick MD today for some trains, since I figured the Met would have activity even on Memorial day.
After I got there a HUGE manifest train arrived. It lined up for the yard track and began crossing Brunswick yard moving from the north tracks near the town to the south tracks near the river.
Then...it stopped, in the middle of the crossing, stopped.
It sat, fowling the crossing for about 20 minutes, until it began packing up for another 15 minutes. Then, another 10 minute or so break and it began moving forward. I estimated another 20 minutes to fully clear the crossing.
There were, shall we say, quite a few angry cars in the area.
