As was answered, I used the CSX website to inquire about the signals and....surprise, surprise....have heard nothing.
When you make an inquiry, you must identify your status; I inquired as a "civilian".
Perhaps a museum has more pull. They could take a write off as opposed to having to report income from a "civilian".

To the best of my knowledge, the museum has no plans for any signals from CSX.

While the property our monthly meetings are held are slated to be redeveloped, provisions have already been made to secure meeting space for us now and in the future. Speaking of meetings, please join us for our April Meeting:

Everyone is invited to our museum meeting on April 18. The evening program will be “Cass State Park Shays, Heislers, and a Climax” by Irene Szabo. Cass State Park is a remnant of the more than 3,000 miles of logging railroads climbed through West Virginia. Today eleven miles remain at Cass, perfumed by the heady smell of working coal smoke. The museum book store opens at 7:00pm, a brief business meeting takes place at 7:30pm, and the program begins around 8:15pm. Cash bar, with soft drinks available as well. This is a FREE event. Everyone is welcome!

Thanks for the information, Otto. I'm glad to hear there are already plans to move elsewhere. And, while I'd love to finally make it down to a meeting, its out of the question for me right now. (Basically no income, no gas, soon to lose internet, etc..)

After being saved from the scrap yard in October 2011 by the R&GVRRM and moved into the museum's shop in January 2012, the museum has been very busy working on the restoration of ex-Lehigh Valley Railroad caboose #95100. The project has now reached the phase where we are beginning to put the car back together; starting with the exterior. Part of this work is to install new lower steel side sheets on both sides of the car as the steel that was on there had badly corroded and was removed over the past few months.

Please donate and help contribute to the restoration of our historic Lehigh Valley caboose!

Also on display at NYMT will be a 1957 GM Transit Bus restored by Rochester Genesee Regional Transportation Authority, and Bob Malley's 1949 Flxible Clipper painted for Blue Bus Lines (an old company that provided service between Rochester and Buffalo). Scouting Day - June 2

We salute the volunteers and members of the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts who work hard to make a difference in our communities. All youth (under 18) Scout members in uniform are admitted free with paid adult admission (one Scout per paid adult, please). Come and enjoy trolley and diesel train rides, and learn about service projects and troop camping opportunities available at both museums. All tours begin at New York Museum of Transportation on East River Road and include a visit to the Rochester & Genesee Valley Railroad Museum as well. The museums will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. PLEASE NOTE: If your entire troop wishes to visit the museums, please make a reservation so we are sure we can accommodate you. Baseball Day - Sunday June 30

What's more American than trains and baseball? From teams using trains to travel from city to city, to baseball fans taking the train to the game, these two American traditions have been intertwined for more than 100 years. Come and enjoy trolley and train rides while you spend the day exploring our two museums. Kids won't want to miss a visit from Spikes, the mascot of the Rochester Red Wings. Railroads have been a vital part of our nation's success for more than 150 years, thanks to continuous expansion and innovation. One of those innovations is the diesel locomotive, which has been the backbone of the railroad industry since the 1940s. From the earliest switch engines to today’s high-horsepower thoroughbreds, the diesel locomotive has been essential to the growth and success of American railroads.

On Sunday, August 18, the Rochester & Genesee Valley Railroad Museum will host its annual Diesel Day, where visitors will not only see and hear a collection of restored vintage diesels, but also ride behind these kings of the rails. Your ride begins at New York Museum of Transportation, where you will board a trolley that will take you to a special extended diesel ride. Visitors will have a chance to meet the volunteer train crews and see what's under the hood of these fascinating machines. Learn how we keep these historic trains running, some of which are more than 70 years old!

All tours begin at the New York Museum of Transportation, 6393 East River Road, Rush, N.Y. One admission is good for entry to both museums and the train rides between them! Erie to Drop Avon Service After Today -- Final Passenger Train to Leave at 6:15 p.m.

Eighty-seven years of Erie Railroad passenger service for Rochester will come to an end at 6:15 p.m. today, when the last train leaves the Court St Station for Avon. But increased freight business in and out of Rochester means a virtual rejuvenation of the line, which once had frequent passenger service to points south of the city in the Genesee Valley. All the Rochester personnel of the passenger department is being absorbed by the freight agency because of heavy shipping, James H. Higgins, local representative s of the Erie, pointed out.

The Erie received permission from the Public Service Commission to abandon its Avon-Rochester passenger service because of poor financial return. In return, the PSC authorized Valley Bus Lines to operate a bus line via West Henrietta Road into Avon. The line seeks to change its route to the East river Road, which parallels the Erie tracks along a great part of the way to Avon.
