The headlight of this K4s is in a collection here in Maine. Does anyone own any of her "jewelry", such as builders plate or her keystone? 5406 has significance to me, from her LIRR days. She spent almost her entire career on the LIRR. Please PM me if you have information regarding the locomotive.

Thanks!

I remember the 5406 from last years which were spent pulling trains between South Amboy and Bay Head Junction in New Jersey. This was the last big time use of K-4 s and they pulled some mighty long trains there in their years. OH those whistles and they had lots of crossings to whistle for as well. GREAT DAYS.

Noel, she was one of the final 7 to operate. I wonder how her boiler was at the end?

I would imagine pretty good, they were generally noted as good steamers.
