There aren't many red/white/blue engines out there like that but they do come into CR.

Albeit not often. Last one was the BC Rail heritage unit about three months ago. Before that it was in Port Newark about a year ago and I managed to snap a picture of it from the roads in there. Before that we had a BC Rail Dash 8 cowl body come through on CSX Q410. (now M410)

Come to think of it, whatever happened to the days when all those wierd leasing engines were very frequently seen up here? FURX, CETX, etc engines?

Cool. Might go check that out later this week if it’s still there.

Say, has there been any progress on the new wye leg at RON and the siding extension at BARB? Been wondering about that.

A lot of those leaser units you mentioned were used by CSX a lot on the heels of the CR split. Long since no longer a need for them.

Yeah me and a pal of mine were taking pictures of it when PR19 went past suddenly with the BNSF/WFRX combo. Flew to PR real quick to catch it pull in.

Speaking of oddball engines, be on the lookout for a Canadian National SD75I along the Garden State Sec. It’s coming down on CSX B705.

Did some walking on the D&R Canal Trail around Bound Brook Saturday and caught a few trains. Very cool place to check out.

Looks like you caught 6K4/64K or 6E4/64E, the former being more common.
